The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban's High Commission for Addressing Migrants' Problems said nearly 600 Afghan migrant families returned to Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan on July 11.

According to the commission, 514 families entered the country through the Torkham border crossing, 40 families crossed through Spin Boldak, and three families returned via the Islam Qala crossing in Herat province.

The announcement follows the return of nearly 580 Afghan migrant families a day earlier, according to Taliban officials.

The latest figures come as the deportation and return of Afghan migrants from Pakistan and Iran has accelerated in recent weeks, with large numbers of Afghans crossing back into the country each day.

Earlier, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said that approximately 3.3 million Afghan migrants had returned to Afghanistan since the beginning of the 2025 solar year, underscoring the scale of the ongoing return movement.
