The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Richard Lindsay, the United Kingdom’s special representative for Afghanistan, to discuss recent developments and future cooperation.

According to a statement from the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry, the two sides exchanged views on recent tensions between the Taliban and Pakistan, multilateral Doha meetings, and other regional issues.

Muttaqi said during the meeting that Afghanistan’s security and social conditions have significantly improved compared to the period when U.S. and NATO forces were present in the country.

He also emphasized that the Taliban are committed to building positive relations with countries worldwide and would not allow Afghan territory to be used against any other country.

Meanwhile, Lindsay expressed sympathy over the deaths of Afghan civilians in recent Pakistani attacks and shared his views on regional and global issues.

He added that the British government and people remain committed to continuing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and stressed that future visits to the country would continue as part of efforts to expand engagement.
