The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said there is no division between hardliners and moderates in Iran, stressing national unity in response to recent remarks by Donald Trump.

In a post on X, Ghalibaf said all people in Iran are “Iranian” and “revolutionary,” adding that citizens stand united with the government against external threats.

He emphasized that labels such as “hardliner” and “moderate” do not apply in Iran, and that all citizens are defined within a shared national and revolutionary identity.

Referring to the current situation, Ghalibaf said the Iranian nation and government would stand firm with what he described as “iron unity” and under leadership, warning that any “aggressor” would be made to regret its actions.

He also highlighted the slogan “one God, one leader, one nation, and one path” as a guiding principle toward victory.

Trump had earlier claimed that Iranians face confusion in identifying their leadership and suggested divisions between hardline and moderate factions within the country.

The exchange comes amid heightened rhetoric between Tehran and Washington, with tensions continuing over regional security, nuclear issues, and broader geopolitical rivalries.
