The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Afghanistan’s national volleyball
team advanced to the semifinals of the Central Asian Volleyball Championship
after sweeping Nepal 3–0 on Sunday in Dhaka.
The victory secured Afghanistan a spot in the semifinals,
where it will face host nation Bangladesh on Monday. A straight-sets win in
that match would send Afghanistan to the tournament final.
Earlier in the competition, Afghanistan defeated the
Maldives but suffered losses against Sri Lanka and Turkmenistan.
The Central Asian Volleyball Championship features teams
from across the region competing for the continental title.
