The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Local authorities in Herat province
plan to host a special ceremony on Friday, November 14, to welcome
Afghanistan’s under-17 national futsal team, according to Mohammad Yousuf
Saeedi, spokesman for the Taliban governor of Herat.
Saeedi said provincial officials have arranged a program at
Herat’s main sports stadium to honor the young champions who brought pride to
the nation in recent international competitions.
He urged residents of Herat to attend the ceremony with
enthusiasm and celebrate the athletes for their achievements.
Earlier, large welcoming events for the U-17 futsal team
were also held in Khost and Paktia provinces.
