The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yermek
Kosherbayev, held a telephone conversation with the Taliban’s Foreign Minister,
Amir Khan Muttaqi, to discuss bilateral relations, humanitarian assistance, and
economic cooperation.
The Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement
released late on November 10 that the conversation was held at the initiative
of the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry. During the call, Kosherbayev extended
condolences to the Afghan people over the recent deadly earthquakes and
announced Kazakhstan’s plan to send a humanitarian mission to Kabul in the near
future. The mission will include medical specialists, medicines, and other essential
supplies.
Muttaqi expressed appreciation for Kazakhstan’s continued
support, noting that two earlier shipments of humanitarian aid totaling 3,700
tons had been delivered this year.
Both ministers discussed key aspects of bilateral and
multilateral cooperation, emphasizing their shared intention to further
strengthen friendly and mutually beneficial relations. Discussions focused on
expanding collaboration in trade, banking, mining and metallurgy, and digital
technologies.
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides reaffirmed their
commitment to deepening Kazakh–Afghan cooperation and maintaining an active
political dialogue.
