The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Three people were killed and three others injured when a Toyota Corolla overturned in northern Afghanistan’s Samangan province, local authorities said Sunday.
The accident occurred in the Golay Sayad area as the vehicle was traveling from Samangan toward neighboring Balkh province, said Hashmatullah Rahmani, a spokesperson for the Taliban police command in Samangan.
Rahmani said the car veered off the road and overturned. The injured were taken to a hospital in Khulm district for treatment.
Local officials attributed the accident to excessive speed and failure to follow traffic regulations.
