The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned against what he described as “adventurous actions” by the U.S. military, saying Tehran is prepared to respond decisively to any U.S. aggression.
Iran’s Mehr News Agency reported early Sunday, Aug. 2, that Araghchi made the remarks during separate phone calls with Pakistan’s army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
According to the report, Araghchi discussed with Pakistani and Turkish officials the risk of escalating tensions and growing insecurity in the region.
His remarks came as U.S. media reported earlier Saturday that U.S. President Donald Trump was seriously considering attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure.
