The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that the United Kingdom would become a "legitimate target" if it supports any potential U.S. military action against Iran. The warning also included a threat of severe retaliation against Israel if hostilities resume.
Speaking to Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency on July 25, 2026, IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebi said any country that backs the United States in a conflict with Iran—including the United Kingdom, Gulf states, or others—would be considered a "legitimate target" by Tehran.
Mohebi claimed that U.S. bomber aircraft had recently operated from British military bases, adding that if London cooperates with Washington in any military action against Iran, it would become a "definite and legitimate target."
The IRGC spokesperson also warned Israel against launching another round of attacks, saying it would face what he described as a "major disaster."
He further alleged that Israel is encouraging the U.S. president to maintain a military presence in the region by providing misleading information and seeking to use American military capabilities to advance its own objectives.
The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East following recent hostilities involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
