The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) says American forces have launched a new round of military strikes against Iranian military targets on the orders of the U.S. commander in chief.
In a statement, CENTCOM said the operation began at 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
According to the statement, the strikes are intended to further degrade Iran's ability to threaten civilian and commercial vessels transiting regional waterways.
CENTCOM did not provide additional details on the specific targets or the extent of damage caused by the operation.
