The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said 147 Afghan prisoners have been released from Pakistani jails and returned to Afghanistan during the current week.
In a statement, the ministry said the individuals were detained in Pakistan for lacking legal documents. It added that after their release, they returned to Afghanistan through the Spin Boldak–Chaman and Torkham crossings along the Durand Line and were transported to their respective home provinces.
The ministry said humanitarian organizations also provided assistance to the returnees upon their arrival.
