The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Mizan News Agency reported that 29 people have been executed in Iran on political charges since the start of tensions and conflict involving Iran, the United States and Israel.

According to the report, an additional 36 individuals have been sentenced to long-term imprisonment on similar charges.

The developments come amid escalating tensions and military confrontations between Iran, Israel and the United States, during which Iranian security and judicial authorities have intensified arrests and prosecutions of individuals accused of collaborating with Israel or opposition groups.

Human rights organizations have repeatedly raised concerns over a reported increase in executions and the issuance of heavy prison sentences in Iran, calling for greater transparency in judicial proceedings related to such cases.
