The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Eleven people were injured in three separate traffic accidents in Afghanistan’s Ghazni province, according to Taliban police officials.

The Taliban police command in Ghazni said the incidents occurred in the districts of Moqor, Qarabagh, and Andar, following collisions between multiple vehicles on the Kabul–Kandahar and Ghazni–Paktika highways.

Authorities said the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment, adding that reckless driving was the main cause of the accidents.

Traffic accidents have increased in Afghanistan in recent years, particularly on major highways. Poor road conditions, lack of adherence to traffic rules, driver negligence, and the absence of technical vehicle inspections are among the key contributing factors.

Officials have repeatedly urged drivers to strictly follow traffic regulations to help prevent such incidents in the future.
