The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Tensions in the Middle East escalated again as Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Lebanon, targeting multiple locations in violation of the ceasefire agreement reached earlier this year. Masoud Pezeshkian, an Iranian official, condemned the attacks and warned that Tehran will continue to support Lebanon.
“Continued aggression will render negotiations meaningless; our hands will remain on the trigger, and Iran will never abandon its Lebanese brothers and sisters,” Pezeshkian said in a statement translated from Arabic.
The renewed violence comes amid fragile peace efforts in the region, with both sides accusing each other of violations. Iran has historically backed Lebanese groups politically and militarily, while Israel maintains it is acting to prevent attacks on its territory. Recent clashes have raised concerns over the potential for a wider regional conflict
