The Kabul Tribune (KT) - At least 23 people have been killed in Pakistan during violent protests against recent US and Israeli strikes on Iran. Authorities report that dozens more were injured.

The fatalities include 10 in Karachi, 11 in Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan, and two in Islamabad. In Karachi, protesters advanced toward the US consulate, clashed with security forces, and set a vehicle near the main gate on fire. Police said several of the deaths and injuries resulted from gunfire, while tear gas was also deployed to disperse crowds.

Local officials confirmed that consulate staff remain safe, and investigations into the violence have been launched. The unrest comes amid widespread demonstrations across Pakistan and Iraq condemning the strikes.

Meanwhile, in some countries, Iranians living abroad reportedly held celebrations following the attack on Iran’s leadership, highlighting deep divisions over the recent events.
