The Kabul Tribune (KT) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is seeking US$1.26 billion to address one of the most severe and prolonged humanitarian crises in recent history.
These funds are urgently needed to provide life-saving services to 2.4 million people across the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. UNRWA emphasizes that more than two years of ongoing conflict have drastically worsened living conditions, making Gaza and the West Bank among the hardest-hit regions globally.
UNRWA says that, despite extraordinary operational and security challenges, it continues to play an irreplaceable role, delivering essential aid at a scale and reach that no other organization can match. Meanwhile, deadly Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip continue.
