The Kabul Tribune (KT) - António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, has warned that ongoing armed conflicts and violence worldwide have left millions of people trapped in a cycle of violence, hunger, and displacement.

Guterres wrote on X that the continuation of this suffering is unacceptable, urging the international community to work tirelessly for a just peace based on international law and human rights. He stressed: “We must never give up on the path to peace.”

Highlighting the need for solidarity, Guterres added: “In this age of division, our priority must be to build unity. If we fail to put our common humanity first, we risk losing everything that makes us strong. We must build united societies in a world of united nations.”

The UN has repeatedly warned about growing humanitarian crises worldwide, emphasizing the urgent need for international cooperation to protect vulnerable populations affected by conflict.
