The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Afghanistan Under-19 national team batsman Faisal Sheenozada scored a half-century against South Africa in the opening match of the 2026 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Sheenozada reached his fifty off 64 balls, striking one six
and five fours. He was still batting at the time of reporting, continuing to
anchor Afghanistan’s innings.
South Africa Under-19s won the toss and elected to bowl
first against Afghanistan Under-19s.
