The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban-run Ministry of Finance said four warehouses have been constructed and put into operation at the Islam Qala border customs in Herat province at a cost of 78.7 million Afghanis.
In a statement released Thursday, the ministry said the
warehouses were built using its development budget to ensure the safe storage
of commercial goods and to improve trade-related facilities at the border
crossing.
According to the statement, each warehouse has the capacity
to store about 8,000 metric tons of goods, providing a total storage capacity
of 32,000 metric tons at the Islam Qala customs facility.
