The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Mohammad Ashraf Haqshinas, spokesman for the Taliban Ministry of Public Works, announced on Sunday on X that repair and rehabilitation work on two vital bridges in Panjshir province has been completed.
According to Haqshinas, the Ministry of Public Works
finished reconstruction of the Qabzan and Marghabi Dan bridges in Panjshir’s
Rokha and Paryan districts at a cost of 6.3 million Afghanis. The bridges had
been heavily damaged by seasonal floods, creating difficulties for local
residents traveling between the districts.
“With the completion of the repair and rehabilitation work,
the movement challenges faced by the residents of Rokha and Paryan districts
have been eased compared to before,” the spokesman wrote.
The Qabzan and Marghabi Dan bridges are key infrastructure
links that play an important role in supporting economic and social activities,
as well as the delivery of health services, he added.
Haqshinas also noted that the Taliban-run Ministry of Public
Works has launched a number of large and small projects across the country to
provide greater ease for citizens, travelers, drivers and national traders.
