The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban’s primary court for the prevention of narcotics and intoxicants in Kabul on Thursday sentenced 15 individuals for the sale and trafficking of narcotics, alcoholic beverages, and cannabis, the Supreme Court said in a statement.
According to the court, the convicts were given punishments
ranging from seven months to four years of imprisonment and 10 to 39 lashes.
The decisions were issued by the primary court and confirmed by the Supreme
Court before being enforced.
The ruling reflects the Taliban judiciary’s ongoing measures
against drug-related and alcohol offenses in the capital.
