The Kabul Tribune (KT) — UN Special Rapporteur for Afghanistan Richard Bennett said Wednesday that millions of Afghans with disabilities continue to face severe hardships, including conflict-related injuries and limited access to health and education services.
In a post on X, Bennett expressed solidarity with Afghans
with disabilities on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, noting
that the voices of many remain unheard. He highlighted that female persons with
disabilities face even greater barriers.
Bennett stressed that inclusion and dignity for all Afghans
is essential.
