The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce said Wednesday that its minister, Nooruddin Azizi, has traveled to Turkey with an accompanying delegation after receiving an official invitation from Ankara to attend the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) ministerial meeting.
The ministry said Azizi will also take part in the opening
ceremony of the Halal Expo 2025 during the visit. He is expected to meet
members of Turkey’s private sector to discuss attracting investment to
Afghanistan.
The Economic Cooperation Organization, or ECO, is a regional
body aimed at strengthening economic, trade, cultural and technical cooperation
among member states.
