The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Russia’s Embassy in Kabul on Friday expressed concern over the ongoing military confrontation between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
“We are seriously
concerned about the ongoing military confrontation between Pakistan and
Afghanistan, which affects civilians, including children,” the embassy said in
a statement.
The embassy also pointed to Pakistani airstrikes in
Afghanistan’s Helmand and Kunar provinces overnight on Oct. 1, saying the attacks
killed and injured several people, including children.
The strikes have heightened concerns over civilian safety as
tensions continue between the two neighboring countries.
