The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq, said he held talks with his Chinese counterpart Yue Xiaoyong in Islamabad on regional security and militant threats.

In a statement posted on X, Sadiq said the two sides discussed concerns over groups including Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), which they alleged are operating from Afghan territory.

The envoys agreed to strengthen coordination and synchronize counterterrorism efforts to address security challenges and support regional peace and stability, according to the statement.

China and Pakistan have repeatedly expressed concern over militant activity in the region, particularly groups they say pose cross-border threats.
