The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban Ministry of Interior said 28 people have been arrested on charges of drug trafficking and sales in Nangarhar.
In a statement, the ministry said the suspects were detained over the past seven days by counter-narcotics police under the provincial command.
Authorities said approximately 7,000 narcotic tablets, along with quantities of opium, methamphetamine, and hashish, were seized from the detainees.
The ministry added that the suspects will be handed over to judicial authorities after preliminary investigations are completed.
