The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Shehbaz Sharif said violations of the recent ceasefire have been reported in parts of the conflict zone, warning that such actions undermine ongoing peace efforts.
In a post on X, Sharif urged all parties to exercise restraint and respect the two-week ceasefire agreement to allow diplomacy to take the lead in resolving the conflict peacefully.
He emphasized that maintaining the truce is essential for advancing negotiations and achieving a lasting settlement.

The call by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for all parties to respect the ceasefire comes amid a fragile truce between the United States and Iran that was announced this week, brokered with Pakistan’s mediation to halt fighting and reopen diplomatic channels.

Sharif’s appeal follows reports that the ceasefire — agreed to last two weeks — has already seen violations in some conflict zones, undermining efforts to stabilize the situation and move toward negotiations.
