The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Eight members of a family died of gas poisoning in their Kabul home, officials said.
The press office of the Taliban-appointed governor of Kabul
said the incident happened late Saturday in the seventh alley of the city’s
21st district.
Hafez Basharat, the governor’s spokesperson, said women and
children were among the victims.
Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the
poisoning.
Each winter, similar incidents are reported in Kabul as
residents rely on unsafe or substandard heating devices during cold weather,
leading to multiple deaths annually.
