The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Afghanistan’s under-19 cricket team suffered a narrow defeat against Sri Lanka’s under-19 side after failing to defend a modest target in their latest match.
Afghanistan were bowled out for 236 runs in 49.5 overs,
setting Sri Lanka a target of 236 for victory.
In response, the Sri Lankan under-19 team reached 238 runs
for the loss of eight wickets, successfully chasing down the target and
securing the win.
Despite competitive bowling and a late fightback from
Afghanistan, Sri Lanka held their nerve to clinch the match.
