The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The Taliban police in Kandahar said they have arrested 24 individuals over the past two weeks for attempting to illegally traffic 68 people to various countries.
The police added that the detainees have been handed over to relevant authorities, and that some of those being trafficked were minors.
Officials noted that the recent rise in unemployment has contributed to an increase in attempts by Afghans to leave the country through illegal trafficking networks.
