The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has departed for the United States on an official visit at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said Monday, November 17, 2025.
According to the ministry, the crown prince is scheduled to
meet Trump to discuss bilateral relations, ways to strengthen cooperation
across various sectors and other issues of mutual interest.
Reuters reported that security matters, artificial
intelligence and Saudi Arabia’s civilian nuclear program will be among the main
topics on the agenda.
This marks Mohammed bin Salman’s first trip to the United
States since the 2018 killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul, a case
that drew intense international criticism and placed the Saudi government under
global scrutiny.
