The Kabul Tribune (KT) —Afghanistan’s Taliban government has condemned the recent attacks in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, and in Wana, South Waziristan, expressing sympathy with the victims and the Pakistani government.

In a statement issued by the Taliban Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, November 11 in the Afghan calendar), the ministry said the attacks on Islamabad’s judicial and educational centers, which resulted in multiple deaths and injuries, were “deeply regrettable.”

“The Islamic Emirate expresses condolences to the families of the victims and sympathy with the government of Pakistan,” the statement read.

The condemnation comes a day after Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif openly blamed the “Kabul government,” referring to the Taliban authorities, for the suicide bombing in Islamabad that killed nine people and injured 21 others.
