The Kabul Tribune (KT) — One person was killed following a traffic accident in western Badghis province, local Taliban authorities said.
According to Sediqullah Seddiqi, spokesperson for the Taliban governor in Badghis, the incident occurred at around 11 p.m. on Saturday in the “Khoshno” area of Dara Bum district.
He said the accident happened after a tractor veered off the road while in motion and overturned. The driver died at the scene.
Traffic accidents have increased in recent months across Afghanistan, with Taliban officials frequently attributing the incidents to driver negligence.
