The Kabul Tribune (KT) — The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has confirmed that at least 13 civilians were killed and 10 others injured in airstrikes in eastern Afghanistan.
According to United Nations Assistance Mission in
Afghanistan, the casualties occurred during airstrikes carried out in Khost,
Kunar, and Paktika provinces on the night of June 9–10, with most of the
victims reported to be women and children.
UNAMA did not specify which side conducted the strikes.
This comes as Pakistan has said the operations targeted
militants belonging to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in the affected
areas.
