The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Five children have died after drowning in separate incidents in Farah and Nangarhar provinces, Taliban police said.
According to statements released late Saturday night, two
children drowned in the Farah Rod district of Farah province, while three
others were swept away by a river while swimming in Jalalabad city, the capital
of Nangarhar province.
Officials said that the body of one of the children in
Nangarhar remains missing, and search efforts are ongoing.
Authorities have not provided further details about the
victims or the circumstances surrounding the incidents.
