The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Pakistani media report that at least three people were killed and several others injured in two separate shooting incidents in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Wednesday.
According to Express Tribune, the first incident took place in the Mithakhel area, where a clash between two groups left three dead and six others wounded. The injured were initially taken to the district’s central hospital, and due to the severity of their condition, three were later transferred to Peshawar. One of the victims, identified as Hassan, was a student at the University of Peshawar visiting home for a short holiday.
In a separate incident, armed men on motorcycles opened fire on a vehicle, wounding a police officer and his three-year-old son.
Police have launched a search operation to apprehend the attackers, saying the motives behind the attacks remain unclear.
These incidents come just three days after four police officers were killed in two separate attacks over a four-hour period in Bannu.
