The Kabul Tribune (KT) — Mohsin Dawar, Central Chairman of the National Democratic Movement, has said that fighters from Tehrik‑e‑Taliban Pakistan (TTP) blew up the home of journalist Miraj Khalid Wazir in Azam Warsak, South Waziristan.

Pakistani politician Mohsin Dawar says that fighters from Tehrik‑e‑Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have blown up the home of journalist Miraj Khalid Wazir in Azam Warsak, South Waziristan.

Dawar wrote on X on Sunday that Miraj Wazir, a well‑known journalist from the region, had been repeatedly threatened because of his reporting.

“Taliban terrorists have blown up the house of Miraj Khalid Wazir… and the state has thrown our people to the wolves,” Dawar said in his post.

So far, Pakistani authorities and local law‑enforcement agencies have not issued any public comment on the reported incident.

Miraj Wazir is among several journalists in the tribal districts who have faced pressure and threats from armed groups in recent years.
